pangolin candle holder, black glaze

a single pangolin candle holder, glazed in deep gloss black. the only one made in this glaze. standing approximately 7cm tall with a base measuring 5 to 6cm wide, it fits a standard dinner candle.

a note on this piece. the glaze and the painting came out with slight variations, a little unevenness here, a marking that wandered off the usual line there. none of it stops the piece being beautiful, and it is part of why there is only one like it. it is simply not identical to the ones that go out at full price, which is why it costs less. it is photographed exactly as it is, so what you see is what arrives.

the pangolin curls around the base, sculpted one scale at a time and hand-painted in soft cream and tan so it lifts off the dark ground. every other piece in the collection sits on cream, which is exactly why this one stands alone.

care. hand wash only, in warm water with a mild soap. not dishwasher, microwave or oven safe. avoid abrasive sponges and scouring powder, and dry with a soft cloth. never leave a burning candle unattended, and let the piece cool completely before handling or washing.
