what's coming in this drop
this restock brings four of our most-loved shapes back in stock, each refined since you last saw them:

the shapes are a little different this time round: more symmetrical, more regular, refined in a way that keeps every ounce of the character you know. handmade still means no two pieces are ever identical - but this batch brings a cleaner, more considered form to each one.
why we make our ceramics by hand in south africa
every rachael wild piece starts as raw clay on a wheel, shaped by hand, painted by hand, and fired in a kiln in our south african studio. it's slower than mass production, and it means every raised bowl, platter and mini bowl carries small, human variations - a slightly different curve, a unique brushstroke.
that's not a flaw. it's the whole point of buying handmade ceramics rather than something mass produced.
every piece supports south african wildlife
rachael wild ceramics are inspired by south africa's endangered animals - including the african pangolin and the african wild dog. a portion of every purchase supports conservation work through the african pangolin working group, so every bowl or platter you bring home carries a little more purpose than décor alone.
